Shimmery Pink Himalayan Salt Bath Bombs Tutorial
Epsom salts have long been added to baths to help ease tension in muscles, draw out toxins and generally make your bath more relaxing.
These particular bath bombs use a combination of Epsom salts as well as Wildly Organic Himalayan Pink Salts. Not only does this give the salt bath bombs a bit of a pink shimmer but it also gives your bath a bit of a boost. Salt has natural detox properties so getting both variations into your bath is a plus.
Baking soda, which is one of the other main ingredients in these pink himalayan salt bath bombs, is not only great for helping you stay clean but also contains some minor healing properties. This makes it a natural base for DIY bath bombs.
If you’re looking to boost your self care routine, homemade bath bombs make a great start. These little mini ones are cute and make a great gift for kids – what kids don’t like fizzy bombs in the bath?!
One of the best parts about making your own products though, is that you can add in any scent you like! Use citrus blends if you need an uplift, lavender to relax or a combination of lavender and peppermint if you have some tension. There are so many different scents you can add to these DIY shimmery pink himalayan salt bath bombs!
Whip up a batch to keep on hand for a relaxing bath or to hand out as gifts to your friends and family. These heart shaped salt bath bombs are cute, simple and a wonderful way to help you relax at the end of the day.

Ingredients In The Bath Bombs
- ½ cup baking soda
- ¼ cup citric acid
- 6 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/8 cup + 1 Tablespoon Wildly Organic Himalayan Pink Salt
- 1/8 cup Epsom salts
- 5 Tablespoons Witch Hazel
- 15 drops of essential oils (of your preference)
- 1 Tablespoon Wildly Organic Himalayan Pink Salt for topping
You Will Also Need:
- Silicone molds with 15 cavities
- Mini spray bottle with water
How To Make The Bath Bombs
In a large bowl, combine the baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, Wildly Organic Pink Himalayan Salt, and Epsom salts.
If using essential oils, combine them into the Witch Hazel.
Add the witch hazel into the large bowl (it will fizz, that’s okay!) and mix until mostly combined. The mixture will look dry, that’s normal.
In the bottom of your molds. Portion out 1 tablespoon of pink salt into the bottom.
Fill each mold halfway with the bath bomb mixture. Use a spatula to press the mixture firmly down into the mold. The better you do this, the more they will hold together. Spray a tiny bit of water over the mold and press down again to ensure it is all combined and holding.
Portion out the remaining mixture to fill the molds and repeat the process of pressing down, spraying with water etc.
It’s a fine balance of pressing and spraying water. Do not spray too much or the bombs will lose their fizz. Just a tiny bit to help them hold.
Let sit on the counter for 24 hours to set.
Pop out of the molds and use!
