  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven at 350-degree Fahrenheit and prepare a 9-inch loaf pan by greasing it very well.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine all the dry ingredients and mix it well with a spoon.
  3. In a blender, combine all the wet ingredients and blend it smooth.
  4. Now, fold in the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whip it well with a spatula.
  5. Now, pour the batter into the prepare loaf pan and garnish it with slivered almonds spread on its top evenly. Then, bake it on the middle rack of the oven for 50-55 minutes or until the tester comes out clean.
  6. Once done, turn it off and take out the cake. Place it on a flat surface and let it cool down for 20-30 minutes. Invert the cake on a board and enjoy.
