One of the best things about the coconut palm tree is its versatility!

Think of all the products that can be extracted from the tree: oil, milk, cream, flour, flakes, water, syrup, sugar, husks, and lastly, coconut vinegar.

Coconut vinegar is certainly a lesser known coconut product, but it is by no means lesser in quality, flavor, or versatility. Take note of this pantry staple as you may find it becoming your new favorite vinegar!

What Is Coconut Vinegar?

Wildly Organic’s Coconut Vinegar is extracted from the tuba of the coconut palm tree. This is the sap that is collected from the stems that feed the coconuts. From here, the sap is fermented for 45 to60 days. To ensure maximum freshness and retain its nutritional qualities, the sap is bottled unfiltered and unheated.

As the coconut vinegar ages, it changes color from cloudy white to light yellow, then onto a clear-light amber. Sediment will appear at the bottom of the bottle, similar to raw apple cider vinegar. Other film and gel will form which is referred to as the mother culture. This is a natural characteristic which you can use to judge the quality and purity of coconut vinegar.

Adulterated and cheap versions of coconut vinegar will have been made from coconut water and will not contain the natural mother.

How Is Coconut Vinegar Different From Other Vinegars?

Besides coconut vinegar being another wonderful by-product of the coconut palm tree, it’s made using a truly natural fermentation process, without the assistance of any preservatives. Wildly Organic’s Raw Unfiltered Coconut Vinegar is made in a small coconut plantation in the Philippines. It contains no added water, sugar, or preservatives and is 100% chemical-free.

While there are many vinegars that exist such as red wine, rice, white wine, and balsamic, raw unfiltered coconut vinegar is most similar to raw apple cider vinegar. These two vinegars are the only vinegars that are truly unpasteurized and contain the natural ‘mother’.
